The party will be held on December 9, 2017 & December 15, 2017 from 1700-2100 hours at the FOP Lodge located at 5505 S. Hansel Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803. This will be a family friendly party! Santa Claus will there to take pictures. Food and refreshments will be provided as well as treat bags for the kids. Come out and celebrate with your FOP family!
Please come out and join us for the monthly board and fraternal membership meetings. Both meetings will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the FOP Lodge at 5505 S. Hansel Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803. The board meeting begins at 1730 hours and the fraternal membership meeting begins at 1830 hours. We hope to see you there.

Officer Assistance Raffle
The winner of the drawing is Officer Jose Rivera B-2 Perimeter, his ticket was pulled by Mrs. Richmond at the WRC. Cpl. Clark and Sgt. Skelton were witnesses.
A total of $1390 was raised, the prize of $250 came out of that and left at total of $1140 to be split between Officer Terry Meyer, Officer Jason Smith, Cpl. Elizabeth Drummond and Cpl. Ivan Sam. Each officer will receive a cashier’s check for $285.00.

No Fishing License Needed!
Beginning Thursday, September 21, 2017, Florida's law enforcement officers and first responders will be able to go saltwater and freshwater fishing without a license until June 30, 2018, Governor Rick Scott announced.
The governor's office announced that the license-free period is in recognition of their lifesaving work preparing for and responding to Hurricane Irma.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will accept official first responder identification in lieu of a state fishing license during this period.
In addition, the Department of Environmental Protection is offering free day-passes to state parks for first responders and law enforcement that can be used an unlimited number of times until October 2018.
